Thomson Law Long Yin finished 6th in the U18 Category of the ASTAR Scrabble Challenge International 2021

Congratulations to Thomson LAW Long Yin, a Hong Kong Scrabble player, who was awarded the 5th runner-up in the Under-18 Category of the ASTAR Scrabble Challenge International (ASCI) 2021. He won 7 games out of 10 games and earned a cumulative spread of +681 points.

Apart from Thomson, Julian WONG Tsz Yu also competed in the ASCI this year. He finished 16th in the Under-18 Category. He won 6 games in this 2-day 10-game online tournament.

Both Thomson and Julian are Hong Kong youth Scrabble player. Thomson has participated in the ASCI three times before, while Julian has participated twice before. They are also a Hong Kong Youth Scrabble Team member for the WESPA Youth Cup since 2018. Both of them are currently studying at Methodist College.

ASCI is an annual international Scrabble tournament organised by the First Residential College, University of Malaya. ASCI 2021 is an online edition of this annual tournament and attracted over 300 players worldwide, including more than 70 players in the Under-18 Category.
