Hong Kong Scrabble player Euclid HUI crowned the Champion of Division B of Malaysia Open 2019, with 17 wins and 7 losses. Euclid was awarded 1500 ringgits for his victory.

Moreover, Owen YIP Tsz Hin, the President of Hong Kong Scrabble Players Association, finished 19th in the tournament with 7 wins.

Malaysia Open is a WESPA-rated tournament held from 29 June to 1 July 2019 in Cyberjaya, Malaysia. Nigel Richards, 4-time world champion, triumphed in Division A.
