Time: 09:45 - 11:30, Registration starts at 09:15.
Venue: HKMLC Ming Tao Primary School, 7 Choi Ming Street, Tseung Kwan O
Eligibility:
- Players participating in the 5th Joint-School Scrabble Tournament for Novices, or
- Players participating in the Inter-School Scrabble Championship 2020
Content:
- Basics of Scrabble: Introduction
- Word Skills (Anagramming and Hooks)
- Game Rules
- Score Calculation
Language: Cantonese with English handouts. English interpretation is available upon request. Please indicate your request when enrolling for the workshop.
How to Enroll:
- School applicants: School may enroll for the workshop after they have applied for either one of the tournament stated above.
Schools requiring extra quota may send an email toinfo@hkscrabble.orgwith students’ names and level of study. Extra students may be allowed if there are vacancy after the closure of application. - Individual applicants: Players joining the 5th Joint-School Scrabble Tournament for Novices may enroll by themselves.
Applications must be submitted by 7 February 2020.
To ensure that the capacity of the venue is not exceeded, there will be a limit on the total number of students. The organisers reserve the rights to reject applications due to exceeding the capacity of the event or any other reasons deemed appropriate by the organiser.
The workshop may be cancelled or postponed if there are any extenuating circumstances.
