WESPA Championship 2019 will be held in Goa from 16th October 2019 to 20th October 2019. There is a quota of two players representing Hong Kong, whose nomination falls under the responsibility of the HKSPA.

Latest Arrangement
Keith JONES has expressed interest to represent Hong Kong in the Championship. HKSPA has accepted his offer to represent Hong Kong.
Phase 2 Qualification
There were no confirmed interest in Phase 1 Qualification. HKSPA is therefore re-opening the Qualification process for the 2 quota.
Players who are an HKSPA Individual Member for session 2018/19 are eligible. They should have Hong Kong representation status under the Hong Kong Player Statuses Regulation.
Players who have a HKSPA rating, whether provisional or not, may express interest in representing Hong Kong in the tournament.
A player with an official rating precedes one with a provisional rating only, while a player with a higher peak rating (same period as Phase 1) has a higher priority.
Players interested to represent Hong Kong under the Hong Kong country quota should express their interest by sending an email to info@hkscrabble.org no later than 17 June 2019.
Phase 1 Qualification
Players who fulfill all the following criteria are eligible to represent Hong Kong in the Championship:
- Be an HKSPA member on or before 31 March 2019
- Have an HKSPA ranking (at least 50 rated games played)
- Have Hong Kong representation status under the Hong Kong Player Statuses Regulation
The peak rating (exclude ratings obtained during provisional ratings period) from 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019 (inclusive) should be used to determine the priority of being granted the Hong Kong quota.
HKSAP will invite players to express interest after the aforementioned period.
