Format: the two participating countries, Hong Kong and Japan, each send 5 players to the Championship. Double round-robin will be adopted, i.e. a player faces players from another country twice.

Team Prize: East Asian Scrabble Champion (the team with more total wins)
Individual Prizes: Individual Champion, Best Student Player, Highest Word, Highest Game
