Information of the tournament

Date: 21 January 2017 (Sat)

Time: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Venue: CCC Mong Man Wai College, Room 110

Eligibility: All Primary and Junior Secondary (S1-S3) novices

The number of players for each school is limited to 10.

The following players are excluded from the tournament:

• The top 20 players in the World Youth Scrabble Championship 2016 Hong Kong Qualifier
• Hong Kong Youth Scrabble Team 2015 and 2016 members
• The winners (1st – 8th) of the Joint-School Scrabble Tournament for Novices (2015-16) *The top 20 players of the Youth Scrabble Champions Tournament 2016

Format: 25 minutes per player, Free Challenge, WESPA rules version 3

Australian Swiss, last round King Of The Hill (KOTH)

Adjustments will be made to ensure that at least top players from the same school will not face each other (at the organizer’s discretion)

Dictionary: Collins Official Scrabble Words 2015 (CSW15)

Prizes: Trophies and medals for top 8 players
