Brian Po got the "Most Improved Player" award in the WESPA Youth Cup 2017

Brian Po Chun Wo, a 15-year-old Hong Konger, got the “Most Improved Player” award at the WESPA Youth Cup 2017. The WESPA Youth Cup, featuring 176 players, was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 27 to 29 November.

A total of 21 Hong Kongers competed in the WESPA Youth Cup, among which 10 were qualified as members of the Hong Kong Scrabble Team. Brian, the highest placed Hong Kong player in the tournament, finished 32nd with 14.5 wins. He made a great improvement from his 83rd place finish in 2016.

Some Hong Kong adult players competed in the Side Tournaments (A and B). Paul So finished 2nd in group C of the Side Tournament A.
